HKIE MATERIALS DIVISION - CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

Dear Members,

Welcome to an exciting new session with the HKIE Materials Division for 2025–26! I’m pleased to reflect on the achievements of our previous session and share the promising opportunities ahead that will further our mission.

Our division remains committed to fostering innovation, sustainability, and professional excellence in materials science and engineering. Over the past year, we have organized impactful seminars, technical visits, and knowledge-sharing activities that have strengthened our community and enriched our expertise.

I am particularly excited to invite you to the Materials Science and Technology in Engineering Conference (MaSTEC 2025), scheduled for 23–24 October 2025. This two-day event, an official part of the HKIE 50th Anniversary Celebration, will focus on four key themes:

1. Digitalization of New Productive Forces

2. Innovative Industrial Materials

3. Advanced Infrastructure Materials

4. Sustainable Materials

MaSTEC 2025 will unite leading engineers, researchers, and industry experts to share technological advances and insights. This conference offers a unique platform to connect, learn, and inspire innovation in the field of materials engineering.

Looking ahead, the Materials Division is dedicated to expanding our engagement through collaborative projects and enhanced networking opportunities. We aim to facilitate greater knowledge exchange and drive the application of innovative materials in engineering practices.

I encourage all of you to participate and help shape the future of materials science and engineering with passion and dedication.
