Programme Highlight

Photocatalyst is a substance with the main ingredient of titanium oxide that generates catalytic activities with the aid of light energy for the industrial, domestic and health applications with the effects of anti-bacterial, decomposition of micro-organism and air purification.  It can therefore be used for purposes of disinfection, deodorization and improvement of air quality in public areas in buildings such as hospitals, aged homes, schools, libraries, toilets and domestic flats.  The seminar will be focused on 5nm (platinum grade) and 25nm (silver grade) photocatalysts from Japan, which have much stronger effects and much longer endurance (for years) than ordinary grades from different origins.  Experience in a local application at the facilities of Chi Lin Nunnery and other projects in Japan will be shared in the seminar.
